The teams in the India office play an integral role in supporting HBC's strategic plan. Bengaluru's workforce has deep experience in a variety of areas, including finance and accounting, technology, as well as other shared services and will support HBC's operations on an ongoing basis.
What This Position Is All About:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Analyst - QA to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of cumulative experience in manual and automation testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and an aptitude for problem-solving. This role requires extensive knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end (E2E) testing for web-based and client-server retail applications.
As an Analyst, QA-OMS, you will:
- Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure the quality of retail applications.
- Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to identify test scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, log, and track defects to closure using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure test environments are set up and maintained properly for accurate results.
- Develop and maintain test scripts, frameworks, and documentation.
- Contribute to improving testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and coverage.
- Provide timely and clear reporting of testing activities, including results, issues, and risks.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations and business stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders about quality issues and project status.
- Attend sprint planning meetings and discuss testing issues.
- Make continuous self-education a priority.
- Keep up to date with the evolution of the testing industry.
Who You Are:
Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):
- 1-3 years of cumulative experience in manual and automation testing.
- Expertise in functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, or similar) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python).
- Hands-on experience with web-based and client-server retail applications.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in system testing techniques and best practices.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to relational and document-oriented databases.
- Understanding of cloud application architecture and concepts.
- Experience in JIRA, and Confluence.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and analyse root causes.
- Ability to proactively learn and apply test design principles.
- Preferred Qualifications (nice to haves):
- Knowledge on IBM Sterling OMS or any OMS platforms.
- Familiarity with CICD implementation.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
